MASSTAC Awarded $100,000 Wood Innovation Grant

This month, we are excited to share that MASSTAC has been awarded a $100,000 US Forest Service Wood Innovation Grant to support our work accelerating the adoption of mass timber in K-12 schools, in Washington and nationally.
Over the next two years, this funding will allow us to develop a playbook, a community of practice, and a comprehensive communications strategy designed to give school districts the confidence to build new facilities with mass timber and reduce friction during the project delivery process. Through this project we aim to significantly increase the demand for mass timber and pave a path for the rest of the country to follow.
We are deeply grateful to the US Forest Service for their partnership and commitment to our goal. This support helps us move toward our vision of sustainably and equitably accelerating the adoption of mass timber in Washington.
Stay tuned for updates as we put these resources to work and share our progress made possible by this support!
