About this Project

Located at Snyder Field, this mass timber press box is a small but significant step forward in sustainable design and alternative building delivery. The structure’s most innovative feature is its use of CLT studs salvaged from panel offcuts—repurposed material that would otherwise go to waste.

Set on an elevated galvanized steel structure, the press "box" is comprised of 5 CLT panels that were lifted into place over the course of 1 day.  The press window wall was site built with CLT studs.  Building finish materials were selected with longevity and maintenance considerations.

Project Highlights

  • Flat-packed CLT roof, walls, and floor
  • CLT studs (first in the country) utilizing off-cuts at the press window wall
